Unitree Robotics, established in 2016 by CEO Wang Xingxing, is a Chinese company specializing in the research, development, production, and sales of high-performance quadruped and humanoid robots, as well as six-axis manipulators. The company has been recognized for its contributions to robotics, including appearances at major events such as the 2021 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the 2022 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony, and the 2023 Super Bowl pre-game show. Unitree is notable for being the first company to publicly retail high-performance quadruped robots and to achieve industry landing, leading global sales in this sector over the years.

The company places significant emphasis on independent research and development, having self-developed key robot components such as motors, reducers, controllers, LIDAR, and high-performance perception and motion control algorithms. Unitree's product lineup includes the Go2 quadruped robot, introduced in 2023, which features standard 4D ultra-wide LIDAR and is priced from $1,600. In 2024, Unitree expanded into humanoid robotics with the G1 model, standing approximately 127 centimeters tall and weighing about 35 kilograms. The G1 is priced at $16,000 and is intended for users to participate in robotics research and optionally share data with a network allowing the robot to learn new automated services.

Unitree has established partnerships with notable entities, including Nvidia and Sharpa, to develop highly capable humanoid robots. This collaboration aims to create a comprehensive 'reference design' named H2+ or Isaac GR00T, serving as a blueprint for robotic development—from data handling to real-world deployment. The partnership leverages Nvidia's AI capabilities via the Jetson AGX Thor T5000 chip, Unitree's advanced H2 humanoid robot platform, and Sharpa's dexterous five-fingered robotic hands, with the goal of producing robots capable of meaningful, unsupervised work in practical environments.

In May 2026, Unitree unveiled the GD01, a 2.7-meter-tall mecha robot capable of transforming between bipedal and quadrupedal modes. Priced at 3.9 million yuan (approximately $572,000), the GD01 is designed for civilian transport and showcases Unitree's innovation in large-scale robotics. The robot is built with a titanium alloy and aerospace-grade aluminum frame, encased in a carbon-fiber shell, and features advanced mobility and transformation capabilities.

Unitree's robots have been utilized in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, power inspection, survey and exploration, and public rescue, providing strong support for social development.
